Social Enterprises
“Entrepreneurial spirit builds individuals and organizations.”
When government funding of our programs was scaled back, we needed to find alternative ways to financially support our programs. Social enterprises like our Thrift Stores and Tree Lots not only give us a way to raise much-needed funds, but enable us to create an in-house job training program where youth can build the skills and confidence they need to get hired while still feeling supported.
Aunt Leah’s Place offers Retail Training Programs for foster youth and at-risk moms through our social enterprises:
Aunt Leah’s Trees
One of Aunt Leah’s largest fundrasiers selling quality Christmas trees across Metro Vancouver. Thousands of customers make Aunt Leah’s part of their annual tradition and help give kids a home.
Aunt Leah’s Thrift Store
We are always searching for more high quality “pre-loved” fashion and accessories to sell in our store. Learn how you can give your item a new home and support local foster youth and young mothers in your community. For all donations, please consult our Donation Wishlist and FAQs.
