Fundraising Mail-Outs

Mail-outs are an important way to keep our donors and volunteers up-to-date on what is happening at Aunt Leah's and to fundraise for our programs. We send out an annual report to our major donors, invitations to events throughout the year, newsletters to increase awareness and encourage support for the vulnerable young people in our programs. We also send out donation request letters twice a year to 5000 homes. We rely on volunteers to make this happen by helping with folding, envelope-stuffing, sealing and stamping.

Aunt Leah's Annual Music Benefit

Local musicians turn out to perform a medley of Beatles songs at our hugely successful annual fundraising concert. Last year, more than 350 people flocked to hear some of their favorite Beatles tunes and raise money for vulnerable young moms and their newborns in Aunt Leah's Thresholds program.

This concert has become a major fundraiser and we rely on volunteers to make it the huge success that it is. There are plenty of ways to get involved including ticket sales, gathering prizes for the silent auction to promotion, event organization and more!

Aunt Leah's Tree Lots

Volunteering at Aunt Leah's tree lots is a fun way to get into the spirit of the season. Our tree lots generate important revenue for our programs and volunteers are what make it happen!

We have volunteer opportunities in customer service/sales, cashier, lot maintenance and set-up and clean-up throughout the month of December.

Our tree lots are located at

  • St. Stephen's United Church at 54th Ave & Granville Street, Vancouver
  • All Saints Anglican Church at 7405 Royal Oak, Burnaby

We are planning to open a third location within the lower mainland in December, 2011.
