Aunt Leah’s is currently seeking individuals to fill the following positions:

Program Director

Job Posted: January 28, 2010

Aunt Leah’s Society is currently seeking qualified applicants for the Position of Program Director. This is a temporary posting of one year to cover a maternity leave. The Program Director is responsible for overseeing 3 residential programs and two training programs.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years experience in Social Services
  • A degree or diploma in Leadership Management and/or Child & Youth Care/Social Work
  • A minimum of two years experience in a Supervisory capacity
  • Experience with database management
  • Experience with program planning and implementation

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Leadership skills
  • Current knowledge of the non-profit sector
  • Ability to oversee program budgets
  • Excellent computer skills and report writing skills
  • Conflict resolution and crisis management strategies
  • Empathy & compassion toward people with multiple barriers

Relief Residential Family Support Worker

Job Posted: January 25, 2010

Aunt Leah’s Society is hiring for the position of Relief Residential Family Support Worker to do overnight shifts in a residence for teen mothers and their babies. Applicants must have post secondary education in the social service sector with a minimum of one-year experience providing support to moms and babies. "Journey with youth
to self-sufficiency"

Aunt Leah's Independent Lifeskills Society helps foster children and mothers in need on their journey to self-sufficiency. We provide supported housing, job training, and coaching on the essential skills that many of us take for granted. Aunt Leah's prevents teens from becoming homeless and prevents young mothers from losing their children to foster care.
