Legacy Giving

Legacy Giving refers to gifts that focus on the future. They are often made through a person’s estate. You may have heard them referred to as ‘planned gifts’. The objective is to help donors achieve their philanthropic vision, while maximizing tax benefits and providing for their heirs.

The most common legacy gift is a bequest in a Will. Bequests are the foundation upon which Aunt Leah’s hopes to build its legacy giving program. We hope you will consider the possibility of leaving a bequest to help secure Aunt Leah’s future, and the future of the youth we exist to support.

If you have already included Aunt Leah’s in your Will, we would appreciate hearing from you so that we can extend a special thank you. Or, if you would like more information about how a charitable bequest can help reduce taxes owed by your estate, let us know. We’ll make sure you receive the information you need to make an informed decision.

For more information about Legacy Giving to Aunt Leah’s, please contact us.

Donations of Securities (Stocks and Mutual Funds)

In 2006, the federal government eliminated capital gains tax on donations of publicly traded securities (stocks & mutual funds). Donating securities to Aunt Leah’s Society lets you make a greater impact with your donation and receive a larger tax benefit.

You can make securities donations to Aunt Leah’s Society by placing your donation online, by mail or over the phone.
